Stephanie & Aaron

On Friday, 12th September 2025, Stephanie and Aaron celebrated their beautiful day at Larkspur Lodge, our unique Knutsford wedding venue. It was one of those perfect late-summer days where the sun glows and makes for perfect couples portraits and a gorgeous atmosphere.
From start to finish, it was clear that Stephanie and Aaron’s wedding was a reflection of two people very much in love, with a day full of precious moments and personal touches. Their Larkspur Lodge wedding blended rustic charm, romantic styling, and effortless fun, everything a couple could hope for on their big day.
A relaxed morning in The Loft
Stephanie began her morning in The Loft, our beautifully designed on-site preparation room. Flooded with natural light and offering plenty of space for hairstyling, makeup and those treasured moments with your bridal party, The Loft is a favourite for so many of our couples as it makes those last moments before saying “I do” that extra bit relaxed.
Surrounded by her bridesmaids dressed in dusty rose, Stephanie looked a vision in her wedding dress. The accent colour choice was perfect for this sunny September wedding day - soft, romantic and paired beautifully with the rustic red brick and warm timber tones that are part of Larkspur’s signature style.
Meanwhile, Aaron spent his morning with his groomsmen, getting ready off-site before heading over to the venue to greet arriving guests. As friends and family made their way through the private entrance into the bar and lounge, the excitement for the day ahead began to build.
A ceremony filled with emotion
When it was time for the ceremony, guests were welcomed into our atmospheric Ceremony Room, which is one of the most unique spaces in our Cheshire wedding venue. When couples come to view our venue, the room’s monochrome floor tiles, retro theatre seating, and twinkling lights set high among the oak trusses are what draw a lot of them in initially - and we couldn’t agree more!
Stephanie and Aaron opted for our “Lit With Love” package, which added a warm, romantic glow throughout the room. Glass cylinder vases filled with glowing church candles lined the aisle, while the signature Edison light bar cast a soft, golden radiance across the space. Together, these touches created the perfect backdrop for a meaningful “I do”, marking the start of the pair’s life as a married couple.
The day was captured beautifully by Take Two Wedding Photography, shooting in both 35mm film and digital format, recording every detail from the emotional reactions to the atmospheric lighting that made the ceremony room look breathtakingly romantic.

Drinks, confetti, and countryside moments
After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside for one of our favourite moments of any wedding day, the confetti shot! This is always such a joyful moment, and Stephanie and Aaron’s was no exception. Their guests showered them with soft white confetti as they made their way through the lawn, creating a beautifully elegant scene filled with smiles and laughter.
Once the confetti had settled, it was time for portraits. Take Two Wedding Photography captured a lovely blend of relaxed group photos and natural moments of the newlyweds together. The use of both digital and 35mm film gave their gallery a timeless character, combining crisp modern images with the gentle nostalgia of film. The surrounding Cheshire countryside provided a calm and scenic backdrop that suited the day perfectly.
Whilst Stephanie and Aaron enjoyed their photographs, guests gathered with their drinks and mingled outdoors. This gentle transition from ceremony to reception is something couples love about planning a wedding at Larkspur Lodge. The mix of indoor and outdoor spaces allows everyone to settle into the afternoon at their own pace, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

A beautifully styled Lodge Room
When it was time for the wedding breakfast, guests were welcomed into the Lodge Room, which looked absolutely breathtaking.
The room was styled in a way that felt both elegant and effortlessly warm, blending the exposed red brick walls, light wood flooring, and segmented pale ceiling panels with carefully chosen décor.
Dozens of white taper candles glowed softly across all the long tables, filling the space with warm ambient light. Overhead, our lighting adorned with greenery created a stunning effect that made the entire room feel like an intimate, inviting space.

A feast to remember
The wedding breakfast was beautifully served by the talented Fork and Field Catering team, who always bring exceptional quality to every plate they present. The atmosphere throughout the meal was relaxed and full of laughter, helped along by the gentle glow of candlelight and the natural buzz of happy guests making memories together.
One of the most memorable details of the day was the beautifully crafted wedding cake. Featuring a scalloped, draped-pearl pattern along both tiers and finished with delicate beaded borders, the cake stood elegantly on display, ready to be cut by the happy couple that evening.
And, as an extra personal touch, Stephanie and Aaron treated their guests to a pancake station by The Pancake Hut during the reception. It was a huge hit with guests and added a unique and delicious touch to the day.

Dancing into the night
The evening entertainment was led by DJ Mike Bladen, who kept the dancefloor full from the very first song. His energy set the tone perfectly, drawing guests of all ages together to celebrate in style.
The photo mirror by The Added Extra added even more fun to the evening, giving guests the chance to snap playful selfies to remember the day.
Meanwhile, outside, the warm September air created the perfect atmosphere for guests to enjoy a relaxed break between dances, taking in the peaceful surroundings of our Cheshire countryside location.
A perfect end to a perfect day
As the evening drew to a close, Stephanie and Aaron were surrounded by love, joy and the warm glow of a day they will remember forever. Their wedding at Larkspur Lodge was a beautiful reflection of who they are: romantic, stylish, relaxed, and filled with thoughtful details that made the day undeniably theirs.
A gorgeous sunset, a full dancefloor, and a feeling of effortless celebration brought their unforgettable day to a close.
